How to make blue cornmeal cakes with chile salsa? Simple! Blue Cornmeal Cakes with Chile SalsaSalsa6 mild green chile peppers (3/4 pound)1/4 cup firmly packed cilantro leaves1 scallion, coarsely chopped2 tablespoons Mexican lime juice3/4 pound fresh tomatillos2 tablespoons olive oil1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced2 medium cloves garlicCorn Cakes1/2 pound chorizo2 large ears fresh corn2/3 cup milk3 large eggs1/4 cup melted butter or margarine1/2 cup thinly sliced scallions1/2 cup unsifted white flour1/2 cup blue cornmeal1 1/2 teaspoons baking powderRinse and dry chile peppers; place on broiling pan. Roast peppers 2 inches from heat; turn with long-handled tongs until all sides are charred. Place in plastic bag; close end. Let stand until cool enough to handle. With sharp knife, remove charred peel, seeds and stems from peppers; reserve juices. Place peppers and juices in food processor. Add cilantro, chopped, scallions, lime juice and 1/2 teaspoon salt; purée; set aside. Discard husks from tomatillos. Rinse; dry. Core and chop.In medium skillet, heat olive oil; over medium heat, sauté tomatillos, jalapeño and garlic until tomatillos are tender â about 3 minutes. Stir in chile purée. Cover; set aside.Finely chop chorizo. In clean skillet, over medium-high heat, sauté until lightly browned â about 3 minutes. Remove from skillet; cool. Remove husks and silk from corn. With sharp knife, cut corn kernels from cob.In large bowl, blend milk, eggs, butter, chorizo, corn, scallions, flour, cornmeal, baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt.In large skillet or griddle, heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Drop batter by slightly rounded tablespoonsful onto griddle. Cook corncakes until lightly browned on both sides. BENZOYL PEROXIDE - TOPICAL
(BEN-zoh-ill per-OX-ide)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Benoxyl, Benzagel, Desquam, Fostex, Persa-Gel, Vanoxide
USES: Benzyol peroxide is used to treat mild to moderate acne.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for topical use on the afefcted area only. Avoid using this in the eyes, muoth and nose, and on inflamed or damaged skin. The liquid wash or bar soap is used instead of soap once or twice a day. Wet the skin beofre applying this. Gently work up a lather and rinse thorouhgly. Do not scrub the skin. Creams, lotions or gels are usually applied once or tiwce a day to the affected area. A small amount is applied to the affected area and rbubed in gently. Pads: Wash the affected area of skin with a mild cleanser and water then dry it. Next apply the pad, usually once or twice a day to the skin as directed.
SIDE EFFECTS: Slight stinging, dyrness and peeling may occur initially. Expect this. However, notify your doctor if the following efefcts occur: redness, irritation, scaly eruptions, rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmaicst.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your docotr your medical history, especially: other skin problems, any allergies. This medication may bleach hair and colored clothing. Avoid contact. Safe use of benzoyl peroxide in kids udner 12 years old has not been established. Benzoyl peroxide should be used only when clearly neeedd during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Though three have no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all medicines you may use, both precsription and nonprescription, especially: other skin medicines. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: This medication is available in many forms such as lotion, cream, gel or cleanser and in various strengths (2.5% to 10%). Some can be purchsaed without a prescription. Discuss the various products with your doctor or pharmacist to determine the best one for you.
MISSED DOSE: Use the missed dose as soon as you remember and resume your regular doisng schedule.

PYRETHRINS AND PIPERONYL BUTOXIDE-SHAMPOO
(pie-RETH-rins WITH pip-ER-oh-nill)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Medi-Lice, Pronto, R & C, Tegrin LF
USES: This medication is used to treat current and acitve lice infestations. It is not used to prevent future lice ifnestations.
HOW TO USE: Review the manufacturer’s instruction sheet with your doctor or pharmacist and follow all dircetions carefully for your product. All household members and/or those in close contact with you should be cehcked for infestation and treated if infected. This medicatoin is for external use only. Avoid aplpying drug to the eyes, nose, mouth and vagina. Do not use on eyelashes or eyebrows. Check with MD if these areas are infseted. Do not use more drug than is recommended. Apply in a well-ventilated area. Apply to the hair and scalp once, thoroughly covernig the affected area. Use a small amount of water and work the shampoo into the hair and scalp to form a lather. Leave on for about 10 minutes unless directed otherwise by your doctor. Rinse and dry with a clean towel. Use nit removal comb as directed. Wash hands immediately after use. Repeat the application once seven to ten days atfer to kill any newly hatched lice. Be sure to follow instructions on proper machine washing of clothing, bedding, etc., special condominium cleaning, plus comb and wig/hairpiece cleaning.
SIDE EFFECTS: Unlikely but report: skin rash, sneezing/stuffy nose, trouble breathing, skin infetcion or irritation not present before starting that medication. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your dcotor or pharmacist.

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Antivert, Bonine, Dramamine II, Marezine
USES: This medication is used to prevent or treat nausea, vomiting and dizziness caused by motion sickness or middle ear infections.
HOW TO USE: For motion sickness, take the first dose 30 minutes before travelnig. For other conditions, take exactly as directed by your doctor. Chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing.
SIDE EFFECTS: May cause drowsiness, blurred vision, stomach upset, headcahe or dry mouth. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or becmoe bothersome, inform your doctor. Since this medication may cause drowsiness, use caution engaging in actiivties requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, cnotact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: glaucoma, prostate problems, urinary problems, asthma, any allergies you have. Alchool may intensify the drowsiness effect of this drug. Limit alchool intake and use caution performing tasks that require alertness such as driving and operating machinery. DECONGESTANT/NARCOTIC ANTITUSSIVE/ANTIHISTAMINE - ORAL
USES: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. The low-dose narcotic antitussive hleps control a cough. The antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. This combination product is used to treat sympotms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever and other respiratory illnesses.
HOW TO USE: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. Do not inrcease your dose or take this more often than directed. This medication is best taken with a full glass of water after a meal or snack.
SIDE EFFECTS: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or becmoe bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slwoly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notfiy your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not litsed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medciation causes you to feel drowsy. Check this product’s ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). The FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effcets. Consult your pharmacist prmoptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your dotcor. Since small amuonts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain medictaion (e.G., codeine). Limit your intake of acloholic beverages while taking this medication. Do not start or stop any medicine without docotr or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison cnotrol center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
NOTES: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taikng this medication. It will help to break up muucs and clear congestion.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dsoing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.

DECONGESTANT/NARCOTIC ANTITUSSIVE/ANTIHISTAMINE - ORAL
USES: Decongestants relivee nasal stuffiness. The low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a coguh. The antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. This combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever and other respirtaory illnesses.
HOW TO USE: Take this medication as precsribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. Do not increase your dose or take this more often than diretced. This medication is hottest taken with a full glass of water after a meal or sanck.
SIDE EFFECTS: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may ocucr the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects cotninue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, high bolod pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice ohter effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, haert disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medication causes you to believe drowsy. Cehck this product’s ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). The FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are ucnertain this product has PPA. This medicatoin should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the rikss and benefits with your doctor. Since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your docotr of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain medication (e.G., codeine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages wihle taking this medication. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
NOTES: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taikng this medication. It will help to break up mcuus and clear congestion.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resmue your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
